Details

Project Site Details

The project site covers approximately 6 km² within the Lelatema Fold Belt in the Mererani region of northern Tanzania, part of the East African Graphite Belt and the broader Mozambique Belt geological system. This belt is globally renowned for its high-grade metamorphic rocks enriched with graphite, as well as for hosting world-famous gemstones such as tanzanite and tsavorite. Tanzanite, mined here for more than four decades at depths of 1 to 1.5 km, underscores the significant mineralization of the area. Several deposits within the belt have already confirmed large- to jumbo-flake graphite with grades ranging from 6% to 12% TGC, and the concession’s geology is dominated by graphitic schists and gneisses, indicating strong potential for high-quality flake graphite mineralization. With rising global demand for critical minerals used in EV batteries, energy storage systems, and advanced industrial applications, the site is strategically positioned to contribute to Tanzania’s growth as a leading graphite supply hub.

The project site offers excellent logistical connectivity to domestic and international transport networks, located just 35 to 40 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport for convenient access to personnel and light cargo. It is also well linked by paved highways to major international ports, ensuring reliable export channels in all seasons to the global markets. This strategic location, combined with robust infrastructure, enhances the project’s commercial viability for graphite mining, processing, and global supply. Importantly, the project will be powered entirely by green energy, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability

Roadmap

Strategic Roadmap Towards Production

Our company was established with a vision to become a reliable player in the global graphite industry. The company has acquired its first prospecting license in the Lelatema Fold Belt and is carrying out exploration through mapping, sampling, and geophysical studies. It is applying for a mining license, procuring equipment, and planning a modern processing plant with laboratory and warehouse facilities. The company aims to commission the plant and begin full-scale production by end of December 2026, establishing a dependable supply chain of high-quality graphite for domestic and international markets, particularly in the energy storage and industrial sectors.

Graphite Flake Sizes

Graphite naturally occurs in different flake sizes, and these variations directly influence both the market value and the range of industrial applications. Larger flakes are rarer and generally attract premium prices, while finer flakes are more common but widely used in battery and industrial applications. Tests from our site show graphite with 6% to 12% grade. Over 40% is jumbo flakes, which are rare and sell for higher prices. Because of this good grade and high jumbo flake content, our deposit has strong market value and big potential.
